Administration on Aging The mission of AoA is to help elderly individuals maintain their dignity and independence in their homes and communities through comprehensive, coordinated, and cost effective systems of long-term care, and livable communities across the U.S.
Assisted Living Federation of America Assisted living information
and assisted living directory listing assisted living facilities. The
Assisted Living Federation of America defines assisted living as a
long-term care option that combines housing, support services and
health care, as needed.
California Department of Social Services The mission of the
California Department of Social Services is to serve, aid, and protect
needy and vulnerable children and adults in ways that strengthen and
preserve families, encourage personal responsibility, and foster
independence. Adult Protective Services (APS) - To protect older adults
and persons with disabilities from abuse, neglect and exploitation by
investigating and providing or arranging for services as necessary to
alleviate or prevent further maltreatment.
Medicare Medicare.gov is a consumer beneficiary website that provides access to information about Medicare, Medicare health plans, contact information and publications, as well as information about health care fraud and abuse and nursing homes
Orange County Office on Aging The Orange County Office on Aging
serves as the lead advocate, planner and facilitator relative to all
aging issues on behalf of all older persons in Orange County. This site
includes a guide to services for seniors and their families.
